The Shinigami Selvedge is a solid black, 18oz heavyweight Japanese selvedge denim, with an extremely slubby texture. Long-time Naked & Famous Denim fans might find this fabric somewhat familiar; it has been featured in previous collaboration collections and is now making a comeback. The hallmark of this denim is its pronounced slubby texture, a result of blending extra slow, low-tension weaving techniques with heavyweight, irregularly shaped, big slub yarns. These yarns vary in thickness throughout, lending the denim a unique, flame-like appearance with a focus on vertical texture. The low-tension weaving adds to the fabric's irregularity, giving it an almost handwoven quality. The yarns are sulfur dyed, and due to their size irregularities, they fade at different rates, revealing a beautiful spectrum of grey and black tones as the denim ages. The Shinigami Selvedge is sanforized, ensuring minimal shrinkage upon soaking or washing. It is meticulously cut, sewn, and crafted in Canada, featuring tonal stitching, a redline selvedge ID, a thick black leather patch, and tonal blacked-out hardware.
The True Guy is a straight leg fit with a medium rise along with extra room in the seat and thigh that falls straight from knee to hem.
